I forgot that their adult male voices are so deep in the snail song. ^____^
There is just something about grown men singing children's songs that really gets to me. ^____^
Love all these guys so much, forever ever. ❤️💙❤️💚

I too grew up with this album at my Irish Grandma's house. We all memorized the songs and sang them to ourselves!
This Irish version of the 'Big Ship Sailing' is so much more hopeful than the traditional British version.

My dad listened to them when he was a kid, played them for me when I was a kid, and now my kids love it, over and over again.

It's great hearing these songs again. I used to love them when I was a child.

I knew these song by heart before we knew my siblings and I before we did the normal Nursery Rhymes of our friends. We grew up with all sorts of Irish rebel songs but these and teddy's head by the wolfetones were our favorites.

Grew up with these guys playing on our record player. And my Aunt Neilie singing "Ahem, ahem" to us. Funny woman she was.

One of my earliest memories of childhood, My Father had this album. I vividly remember listening to this gem in our basement

I seen them when I was 17 on St Patrick's day with my mom and friend at Valley Forge, PA. Way before Drop Kick, Flogging Molly and the newer generation of Irish music.

2:18 up the long ladder and down the short rope! Being from south Armagh, this was my dad’s favourite Friday or Saturday night song ahahaha

2:45 Reminds me of my days as a pirate sailing the icy waters of the Pacific Northwest.

My Mum went out with Liam back in the day in NYC, she was a Dub and he was a Tip man, she lashed around NYC on his motorbike and always said that her Dad (a Judge in Dublin) would not have any time for him! - Needless to say it didn't last Liam and she later married my Dad who was a massively successful in the foreign affairs office and they (we) lived globally, but i always sensed a missing "something" from my Mum when she spoke of Liam - had she lost something special in life to soon - God knows - she had a great life, that's what counts - Love ya Ma RIP
This music was my bread and butter and i know it all by heart!
