In the webinar, the project will share information about the strategy to achieve the mercury reduction targets, the lessons-learned to select mercury-free alternative technologies, and the gender mainstreaming in ASGM sector.

Part 2) Engaging the Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Mining (ASGM) and Coal Energy Sector Towards a Mercury-Free Indonesia

Let's Make Mercury History! Not just a slogan, but a global commitment that must be realized. Indonesia is also committed, taking a role to contribute. These are stated in a usage action reduction plan for mercury in priority sectors. Monitoring the mercury reduction targets in these sectors, of course, requires a holistic effort. Various aspects, ranging from policies to applying environment and forestry standards and non-mercury practices at the site level, become a unit of action that contributes to achieving targets. The webinar will promote efforts to reduce mercury at the site level and solicit input on strengthening environmental and forestry standards in support of a mercury-free Indonesia.
