Have you ever observed students struggling to maintain their interest or retain information after an overwhelming amount of theory? It can be quite difficult to deliver theoretical content in a way that engages and motivates students. However, project-based learning (PBL) offers an effective solution. By providing students with practical, real-world scenarios to apply their theoretical knowledge, their participation, understanding, and involvement with the subject matter can improve significantly. In this video, we delve into what is project-based learning, how it can be applied, and what benefits and challenges it presents as a teaching method.

Project-based learning is an approach where students learn through active engagement with real-world problems or challenges, requiring them to apply their knowledge and skills to solve a complex problem or answer a question. Project-based learning has several benefits, including the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, creativity, and self-management skills. One of the challenges of PBL is designing a project that is challenging and achievable for all students, while also appropriately scaffolded and differentiated so that all students can participate and learn.

In this video, we also discuss how Prezi can be a highly useful tool for students to present their findings through interactive and visually stimulating presentations.
