A new expedition begins today, and I'm so excited to share it with you all. I've been craving alone time for a while, and the place I'm going to is the perfect antidote to noise and crowds.

I understand your thought process is completely. Wonderlust is in your blood. Quit my job, sold my house, sold my car and started traveling for 15 years nonstop around the world. I wasn’t running from anything I was experiencing life is most wonderful state- freedom.

I’m just building a camper slightly over a year after my wife of 51 years died. I like solitude but it IS different when you are suddenly permanently on your own again, it will be great to see new places and some places where we both used to go. I’m very sure some parts will be emotional but that’s life unfortunately. Do your own thing Eva, good luck and may your trails be muddy ones. Go girl !

Just so you know, if you go to Greece in winter you will actually have it pretty much to yourself. I spent ten days on Mykonos island in February once and the main town was a ghost town. The islands empty out between mid-October and mid-May. Weather will be warmish during the day, cool at night, possible rain but likely sunny. Good time to go, no crowds, cheaper, quiet, a few restaurants and hotels open, very peaceful. And you can swim if you're brave.

Wow girl! Such a privilege to have, such a lesson to learn to move without fear to move with heart and intentions to make yourself feel your best and explore ❤❤

I love the antlers you put on Odyssey . I can totally understand your desire to be alone . I've thrived on that for the last 10 years myself . My family doesn't really understand it, but they have learned to accept it . I understand your concern for your grandparents, I'm 61 and my mom is 78 . My kids have the same worries about something happening to me when I'm on the road, but they also want me to enjoy my life . I'm happy to see you traveling again, and enjoying the nomadic life . Maybe you can check out the Appalachian region of America when you come back . Save travels .

Some people are like ponds - they're content to stay in just one place, and that's fine. But Eva, you're more like a river. You were born to run free and wild, always on the move, exploring new frontiers. Solitude is how rivers refresh themselves. Enjoy every moment.

I've been a nomad since I was 28 years old now I'm 65 years old, and there is no stopping now. Some people are just born to see what is over the mountain and around the next curve. Thank you for sharing your life with us. 😊

I've always gravitated towards solitude and the more quiet places in nature. I've just always felt more comfort in the company of nature vs other human beings. It's literally a breath of fresh air. Nature doesn't care who you are or what you do. It automatically invites you to become a part of this thing that's bigger than you. And the more you connect with it, the more empowered you can feel within yourself. Never break that connection.

It doesn't seem that a restless soul is running to or from something, or anything. Just a restless soul that keeps moving on. I saw a sticker once that said "not all who wander are lost". I guess that pretty well says it.
For myself to have lived that life of solitude in the same forest for 60 years is my great fortune. I love my life.

I am 58 years old, working a full-time desk job as an engineer. Once my kids were grown and flew the nest, I realized how much I love being alone, and started spending more and more time in the mountain wilderness surrounding our home. My husband fears for my safety, but I solo backpack for days at a time with my little dog. These trips are like hitting the "reset" button. Looking forward to my retirement when solo days can turn into solo weeks.

Yes, Grandma's are the best. Lost mine a year ago. She was 108. Take time with them when you can and keep them in your heart when your not.

I was a Blacksmith for 16 years, solitude was my companion in the Forge, but I was never lonely. Lots of interesting people came to see me, and I also travelled and worked abroad visiting other Smiths and Artisans. It’s a wonderful way of life. 🔥⚒️ I totally understand your POV Eva. Blessings on your journey. 😇

What I like the best about this channel, is it’s fun to imagine being well-equipped, free, much younger, alone, brave, adventurous, and well-funded. I have been some of these things, but not all, and not all at once.
😉🙏💙🕊️✨

The times when I've grown the most have been when I isolated myself and allowed myself to be the hermit that I am. My happiest moments have been when I'm alone with my thoughts and with nature. I spend about 95% of my time completely by myself, not talking to anyone, and it's where I find true freedom. Wishing you the best. ❤

I love being alone, my life doesn't permit it so I take immense satisfaction in knowing that people like you make it possible. Live your life the best way you can while you can Eva X
