This conversation of valuing the churches budget is probably the most important video/topic you've discussed. Because unfortunately, this channel has a lot of the "this church has this gear, you need this gear..." kind of videos. From plugins, to dante networks, to high end cameras. Discussion was great!!! The value of people over gear is vital. But maybe this conversation could happen more within your future catalog! Thank you

I think, it might reasonable to include ultra-budget config also. It might be not relevant in states, but might be relevant for other countries.
E.g., use mobile phone with the best cam you can get, use the best PC you can get (2 cores/4 threads, 8GB RAM is enough), OBS Studio as a streaming software, ivCam/EpocCam for Win or NeuralCamLive for Mac as a video-interface for your phone, some basic audio-interface if you don't have it in-built in your mixer etc.
It will not be top-level, but it will work. And it might be useful in our pandemic conditions.

It reminds me the other day someone posted a question on Facebook, that if they need to buy a drum cage, AFTER they traded in their digital drum and switched to an analog one

First you need a passion for what you do.
If your wanting to grow in an area you need someone to 'champion' that area. With our live stream ministry we could not move forward till we had someone to lead it, take responsibility for the technical direction and write a vision. Once we had that then we could get some great gear, and we did. The gear is tool but first you needs the hands and feet.

I run a small consulting business working with small to medium size churches. So many small churches have no idea what they need or how to actually install and use it. It is especially true now with everyone wanting to stream. They watch utube videos of the big churches and what they do and then "we want to be like the big church" and then buy equipment they may or may not work for them. The usual first question is "what camera do we need" and they see the cool DSLRs on utube and get one but in reality a PTZ camera would be a far better choice for their applicarion. Utube university is a great place to learn but sometimes it is best to have a knowledgeable person look at a church's specific needs, budget and application to make the best decisions. Many small churches have the personnel to fly a Cessna but go out a buy a Lear Jet. I think your vid is spot on.

God said to invest the talents (money), not bury/save it... Gambling the music budget is always an investment when you win profits!!!! a 0.01% chance tho!!! 🤣

Would people who are gambling with ministry money actually watch this?
Probably (speaking from experience of where I've served)

We used to joke that spending £20k on music lessons would make a WAY bigger difference than buying a new Digico...

Investment in people always pays off, but investing in gear is just the easier way.

I know VERY few Churches and Synagogues now that have a 20K budget. Most I deal with are sub 2k...
