Two tips for it:

Hold 'Mode' for it to disable the motors and go into standby (this is helpful when you don't want to keep reconnecting to the Zhiyun app during short breaks in filming, or if you need to handle your phone without putting stress on the motors)

Triple tap 'mode' for selfie mode and will turn 180 degrees to record you with the rear camera for better resolution.

One negative is that while recording in the Zhiyun app it doesn't all 4K.

I love mine, but it definitely sticks out whenever I use it.

it is absolutely worth it. I love this little gimbal. I take it on all my trips and on hiking trails or just cinematic shots. The footage you get is amazing. You can also adjust all the settings using the zy assistant app, by default the joystick settings were to quick and jerky so I lowerd them so when I use the joystick is slower but alot smoother and easier to control.

I bought the smooth Q and liked it, I went and bought the smooth 4 also, it has a few more buttons and a zoom/focus wheel, I use mine more than my other GoPros and stuff, I think mostly is because I always have my phone on me, and this gimble is quick and easy and holds a good charge, and you can also charge your phone by plugging it into the usb on the bottom of the Q. You can get an external power pack and plug into it, or plug into lighter port on your car. If you decide to keep it, I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for the video.

Great vid BigBallvlogs! I struggled with fast moving action too...like at an air show. I finally figured out that a double tap on the mode button puts it in a different, kind of look straight mode. The phone stabilizes facing forward, relative to the handle. It takes some practice, but it works well for just pointing with stabilization. Just don't touch the joystick.

There's an accessory for this gimble so you can use Action Cams with it as well. It's essentially simple - an oblong plate with a machined square hole for the camera to mount into, held there by a dinky little bracket and a couple of screws. Use it as it comes and your camera will "see" the front motor housing so if you get one, use the Selfie Mode with three mode button presses - it'll swivel through 180 degrees and face forwards perfectly. Of course there's no app functionality using this - but being able to use these little cams as well does extend the usability of the gimbal. Works just fine.

I just brought it home! Got it at Best Buy for 139.00. It's still charging but I know I'm gonna love it. I will be using mine to add "Video Walkthru" to my Real Estate Photography business.

There are two apps to download, the ZY play and the Zhiyun Assistant. The assistant app is used to calibrate, update, and make adjustments to roll speed, pan speed and so on.
