Never was more than a few hundred dollars in debt with any of those trucks. Was a personal choice seeing how giant a hole people would dig. Extra money each week if any went to whatever tool I would use the most on the daily. Or save me the moment amount of time and grief. Took a little while but learned a lot about improvising safely and without making a mess of stuff. After 10-15 years I have close to what I would have paid for a small house invested in tools. My tools make me money anytime I touch them though. Not cost me money.

Yeep. I dont like to go expensive on boxes. I keep to a tool boxes i can move easily. Also must be nice to have all that work space. At my dealer there is no room for big boxes and do the kind of work we do. Pulling out the big engine lift for a Cummins can be a chore 🤣 i have no tool debt at the moment. Will be getting a set of flex head ratchet wrenches when matco gets them back on the truck though.

This is stupid… having tools doesn’t mean you’re ind debt, at least not for me it doesn’t. Having tool debt is a sign of stupidity, not a sign of progress.
