I totally agree with rslitman, I am one project away from my DTM, to change the platform for the better I agree with, but to change for change sake is not acceptable. If it isn't broke don't fix it, I was proposed to this massive change and most clubs I am still in contact with are noticing the a massive drop in their seasoned members. Great job catering to the younger / newer members but you left the long term members in the wake. John Gignac ACG/ALB (2CC's, 2CL's and 2 ALB's) ex Area Governor and Division Director, 8 happy years with old program. Didn't renew when Pathways was rolled out, in fact quit that very meeting.

I am recently retired, 66 on my next birthday, a Toastmaster for almost 27 years, DTM, 4 CCs, 2 ACBs (some of the last two when they had other names). Plus Old CL, current CL, and ALB. Pathways is not for people like me. I am beyond needing or even wanting to do team building, collaborate, make my speeches into PowerPoint presentations. And I don't want to enter a program in which the projects aren't unveiled to me until I do the previous one.

I look forward to finally achieving my CC award before considering whether immediately moving onto pathways or achieving CL and ACB awards first. Toastmasters has made me a different person in a good way these last two years. I am very thankful to you for that and the members of my club.

I left Toastmasters because I did not feel like the club that I was in was supportive. The person assigned to be my mentor didn't even remember that he was my mentor. I really would love to be a successful public speaker but I really need great support and mentorship and I was hoping to find that at Toastmasters but the one I joined was a no go and the one I visited after that met on a day that was not workable for me.
