what is aesthetic attraction?

I've been questioning for a while now and aesthetic attraction is the one thing I totally get. Sometimes there are just these people that are pretty! Like I wanna look at them, but staring is bad; not talk to them or get to know them, but just, like, have a picture of them (which might also be weird and/or creepy)... *sigh*

Learning this was a concept really made me realize I was demisexual. People would be like "you've had crushes though." My crushes would end fast when people changed their looks. It sounds judgmental, but it's true for me. People like to confuse aesthetic attraction and sexual attraction, and it's exhausting. Like you can think someone is hot without wanting to bang them.

Explaining the difference between aesthetic attraction and sexual attraction to allos is so exhausting. I've had so many times where I've said something about a woman that indicates attraction and people are like "But I thought you were Do you like people Sigh. Just because I caption every picture of Natalie Dormer with #WifeMeUp or I joke about putting a giant picture of Parminder Nagra over my rainbow flag doesn't mean I want to bang them. It means they're gorgeous and I'm drawn to their gorgeousness and I'd like to be in their midst...with clothes on.

I think I feel aesthetic attraction very strongly and for the longest time I thought it was sexual attraction. And now I discovered that I'm probably demiromantic ace haha

This is such a good explanation and I feel SO SEEN. It's exactly what I experience most of the time. I sometimes get sensually attracted towards people, so I want to be close to them, but mostly it's just "Please let me look at you forever, you are absolutely gorgeous and I don't know how something this beautiful can exist". Like you said, I also really like pretty things. I feel like I'm a very visual and aesthetically driven person. I love art, I love paintings, I love pretty buildings, I love pretty movies, I love pretty clothing, I love pretty landscape, I buy my books based on pretty covers, I love surrounding myself with pretty things and yes, that includes people. I can watch videos of people I find beautiful for hours and hours and hours and not get tired of it, because I especially love the way some people move or their general posture. I just love the feeling when seeing something beautiful, it makes me so happy - sometimes even to the extent that I want to cry because it's so beautiful.

And it's just as you said, most often I just want to stare at them ksks actually, thinking about this I remembered that as a teen I always thought that everybody had something beautiful about them you know? It could be the smile or the hair, but I always found something and I loved that and didn't quite understand when people say some were pretty and others ugly as if it was a clear binary thing, you know? I get it now that this is bc of beauty standards of course. Ksksk I'm loving this videos, can't wait for more!

I'm a heteroromantic heterosexual woman, but I'm kinda drawn to women's bodies.
For a while when I was a teenager I questioned my sexuality and thought that I might be bi, but I don't really experience that much attraction in the romantic or sexual way for women, if at all. I think back then, I was kinda lonely because I wanted a relationship and I didn't find a guy, so my subconscious was kinda like "Hey, if boys don't work, what about girls?"😂 Kinda embarrassing.
Sometimes I feel like I want to touch a woman, maybe just feel what her curves feel like (okay that sounds creepy tbh), but I think mostly I'm just aesthetically attracted. And I'm not just attracted to faces, but to curves an butts and muscles by fit yet ""feminine"" women, so women that still have some curves. Since sexuality seems to be pretty malleable by environmental influences I wonder whether I would've become actually bi in a less heteronormative society.
