For the most part we are familiar with what we had but we really wanted to see the capabilities of the units. Use the Simrad app to mirror your unit to your iPad / phone screen and have the image were you are on your boat. Or just as a bigger screen.
Easy system update with the app sync to your system.

I’M TRYING TO DECIDE BETWEEN GARMIN AND SIMRAD. I HAD GARMIN ON OUR LAST NEW BOAT AND IT WAS FINE BUT WE’RE LOOKING AT A MUCH LARGER VESSEL AND I THINK I’M GOING TO GO WITH SIMRAD. WE LIKE TI DIVE AND I THINK SIMRAD WOULD BE BETTER. Shoot… sorry all caps. Dang iPad:-)

BUYER BEWARE:
Simrad's lack of waypoint management makes the units unusable. I have dual NSS evo3 units in a bay boat and I am ready to replace them with Raymarine Axiom. Simrad has ALOT to learn from Raymarine relative to waypoint sorting, searching, hiding, grouping and bulk editing.
