Hey, it’s called Leto coffee. And yes, you pour your coffee in the cup and add the butter straight in. Wait until the butter is melted before you add in the milk. You’ll want to use either Kerry gold butter or finlandia butter- both are grass fed….the taste is unmatched. If you do this with a different butter, you’ll 100% know the difference. Quality def matters. Hope this helps!😊

Rule 1 of cooking: always assume the recipe calls for unsalted butter.

Saying butter in coffee helps supress your huinger is like saying eating food helps supress your hunger. Of course it does, it's butter, it's high fat, calorie dense, it's literally food.

It’s basically the same as adding heavy cream to your coffee. Butter is just a little more concentrated since liquid is removed during churning

It's called a Bulletproof and I usually just blend up hot coffee with some slices of butter. Comes out blonde and I also add coconut butter

I added butter to coffee waaaay back in 2001. I was on an overseas flight and the flight attendant gave me two creamers with my coffee. I used both. When I asked for a 2nd cup, she gave me more coffee, but refused to give me any more creamers. Stated she already gave me 2. (Yes, and I used them both.) Out of desperation, I used the pat of butter left over from dinner. It was an excellent decision as it was better than the creamer.

The Science-y reason:

When butter is added to your coffee this causes it to digest more slowly making the stimulant effects of coffee to last longer so that you stay energized throughout the day and won’t have the caffeine crash effects that could come from drinking plain coffee.

Add one tablespoon of unsalted butter to your black coffee and whip on the highest setting for 60 seconds. Avoid adding any milk, cream or other ingredients. As you whip, the coffee will foam and change its color to a light brown. It has an amazing taste, and it's perfect for starting your day especially during early morning shifts. The energy it provides is long-lasting and comes without a crash.

The caffeine bonds with fats from the butter at specific temperatures, then is processed by the body differently, usually resulting in longer lasting effects. The same thing happens when you use pouring cream to some extent.

Ive experimented throughly, id suggest cutting the unsalted butter into very small chunks, you want the coffee to hit them directly in the cup, then mix them completely before adding the milk.

If you would like a very raunchy coffee (can be quite a ride): a flat tea spoon of nutmeg powder + a quarter flat teaspoon of cinnamon ontop of the butter, double espresso, full cream milk. Make sure the water has come off the boil when using water from a kettle, as nutmeg is sensitive when looking for its amphetamine effects. 😘

In the traditional times of Singapore, some people would order 'kopi gu you", which directly translates to coffee butter, which is like black coffee with butter added. It's delicious and it adds a velvety texture too 😊

In Malaysia we roast the coffee beans with butter. It's the type of coffee called Hainan coffee.
