(4K) Diversions! Lufthansa Airbus A340 + Finnair Airbus A350 at Toronto Pearson

Hey everyone! Welcome to the video!

Back in June of 2022, a violent thunderstorm swept through northern Ontario and headed in the direction of Quebec where it hit Montreal. Several flights had to be diverted as a result and Toronto was able to get some pretty sweet catches as a result.

I was able to able to capture two of those flights; a Lufthansa Airbus A340-300 (DLH478) and a Finnair Airbus A350-900 (OCN76). The Lufthansa flight arrived on RWY 24L and departed back to Montreal after the storm cleared around two hours later. The Finnair arrival I was unable to capture but just made it in time for the departure. This was the first Finnair Airbus A350 to visit Toronto and it was nice to check another airlines' 350 off the list. They were operating flights from Munich to Montreal for the time being through Lufthansa but with Eurowings Discover hence their call sign 'OCEAN'. Enjoy the video everyone!

that was awesome! you got to see the A340, one i haven't seen yet. probably because of all of the construction on the 401. i had to travel to Dixie Rd. to do some shopping and man! what chaos! at least it looks like the runway is getting paved more than the hwy! see you soon bud! can't wait to see what's next!

Ernest what is going on with the runway construction seems a major renovation at Pearson. It is probably over due by a few years. Are they using 6R sure looks like it mate. So beautiful landing for the Lufthansa 340-300? The Finnair 350 looking so good at take off. The night scenes at Pearson are hard to beat still love them. Beautiful video of both planes.
