I literally have no desire to root my phone, but the quality of the video was so amazing that I had to stop and watch the video. Excellent job.

My reasons are Custom ROMs, also QuickSwitch, Theming with Swift Installer, AdAway and backups with app data via SwiftBackup

Really glad to see a video like this when so many have forgotten about rooting Android. Thank God for those developers who are still hard at work behind the scenes. My number one reason for rooting my device is control.

Rooting gives me freedom. Feels like the phone belongs to me rather than the company which i bought from.

I know I'm probably part of a minority here but I love the Google Assistant and being rooted makes it that I can follow a simple XDA guide and enable the latest Assistant 2.0 straight from the Pixel 4. Love that.

Sad if I'm on a Samsung cause there is one very big downside to rooting:
it will trip knox,
and I wouldnt be able to use samsung pay, samsung pass, samsung checkout, so thats why I havn't rooted

Rooting is more than just gestures, UI elements, etc.. Say you want to fix performance issues, network issues, or making it smoother, rooting, and using powerful tools(apps) can be a godsend. Needed to say something about those too.

Swift installer and shuffling amidst custom roms can literally be like having a new phone every day/week (or whatever interval one pleases.)
I, for one, am shocked by how much the longevity of my device and my interaction with it and love for it, is almost refrigerated, all thanks to rooting!

One of my favorite things to do is to get an old android phone and root to either install a custom Rom and/or slightly overclock some of the components or simply create a portable Wi-Fi repeater. It seems that some devices actually benefit greatly when overclocking both the CPU and gpu without having terrible or fast draining battery life while others have serious stability issues with that at least from my experience.

I changed my Mi 8 from Miui to Pixel Experience and I just love it. Then I've also used magisk to change the look of the gesture navigation bar just like shown in the video, enabled double tap on the status bar to lock the screen, deleted stock apps, set some apps as system apps, enabled the earpiece as a secondary speaker, etc, etc. It's so much fun to do and when I know I'm going to need just a 100% reliability for a travel or I just get bored then I just flash the stock rom and the phone is back as new again. No need to worry about backing up nothing because Google Photos has me covered and I only use streaming apps for music and videos. And google automatically stores a list of the apps I had installed as well as the Wi-Fi networks I registered in the previous "phone".

love that you record at 21:9. It is breathtaking to watch your videos on an Xperia 1 in 21:9 in 4k. And of course on other 21:9 screens as well. Thank you

I've been rooting my phones since my very first Android phone that was loaded with Android 4.0. I mainly use it for upgrading my phone when it has been abandoned by the manufacturer. Currently, I'm using Lenovo P2 with Android 10 because of unofficial development whereas, Lenovo left this phone with Android 7. Rooting system gives extra functionality which is an added bonus.

Seriously! This guy is on the spot! I remember It like it was just yesterday, the first android phone that I rooted was on gingerbread. Customizing and overclocking stuff back then is much much more fun than now. The feeling of accomplishing something that wasn't meant to be done on that phone and pushing it to the limits of what it can do.. Even bricking the phone and fixing it feels different than before.

Must have EdXposed modules
1) GravityBox Q
2) Xposed Edge
3) XInternalSD (auto store app data to sd)
4) DisabledFlagSecure (take ss even in incognito or dm's)
5) Exi for swiftkey
6) CorePatch (update/downgrade even with diff signature apk)
