That is a good advice for buying most items on Ebay, I use a similar method.  I like to look at the number of bids, to avoid schills.  Also watch over a few days or weeks depending on how rare the item is of course.

Unfortunately, four years later those coins are selling for about the same price.

Gruppen, some of us are investing for the future 5-10yrs down the road, but current prices continue to fall for Gold and Silver.  What are your thoughts down the road.  As people like Harry Dent are calling for gold to breach below the $1000/oz USD by 2017.  Do you believe these are investments that will eventually turn or will they just trend sideways to continue to sell off for quite some time?  Also how did you make out with your real estate purchase?  I've been a long time sub, and always watch ur videos, many thanks from USA!

Beware of fake Pamp Swiss Bars... they are going around like CRAZY. A friend who works at a coin shop got nailed they are very good. Some do good they hollow out real Pamp bars and slide in tungsten. Search for it on you tube there are videos about the problem

Mr. Gruppenfuhrer0, would you be so kind to post a video or comment about fake gold coins or gold covered tungsten coins, and how you avoid them, especially when you buy from ebay. Thank you so much!

Hello! I’m amazed with your collection. Wondering if you might be able to help with a reply or private message. My wife is Romanian and I collect coins. I would love to pick up a proof that is still being produced. I have tried going to the Romania Mint’s page, searched every American store I could, looked on eBay. I see nothing except for eBay and those coins are older ones I’m not looking for. Do you have a suggestion of a merchant that buys and sells from the Romanian mint? Maybe a Great all-around European coin seller? Thanks for your time.

Tip 1 : Study packaging very carefully. Beware of simple plastic sticking around the bar, instead of it being sealed inside a credit card-style housing unit. If you take time to really concentrate on the quality (including serial numbers on etched  on bar ingot and housing unit, you will soon spot a susppisciously put-tohether Pamp suisse items, but Tip 2 is one that ensures you get the real deal and still loss a fortune, on dears.
Tip 2 : Never ever believe a word those pretty sales-assistants say when they tell you how lucky you are that they stock the limited edition Mandela Krugerrand, or the Olympic Edition Australian Gold Coins, or the 30 Year Anniversary "Star Wars" Gold Coin
Whislt a limited market might be prepared to bay a bit more for collectable editions, if you think of your self as a bullion dealer, then you must act like one. All Krugerrands are wirth exactly the same, regardless of the shop-gilds qssurances that the limited edition ones were worth a kings randson.
Yesterday I went to Hatton Garden to sell a 1891 Full Victorian Soverein. They didnt want to know year, design, ort even grade, all that matteretd to them was weight, so dont over-spend on what will amount to bugger-all as your coin hits the buyers scales, My 1891 could have been a 1981, the cash offered would have remained the sane.

I'm skeptical about buying precious metals off ebay. I'm worried that I will waste my money on fake items. Have you ever had such a bad experience with ebay?

Forgive the stupid question, why is it stupid to but certified coins? I guess it pushes the premium up?
