If you have issues with the door being bugged or your team having the perception of an aged mole; then there is a hole in the wall, behind a stone bookcase in a side room. You can jump through that, then along a couple of ledges that lead you round the back.

i started this quest by finding the dopple gangers first and getting the key. then there was a highlighted area on the place the dopple gangers were telling me to solve the murder. i had no idea what was going on lol

for those searching for the dagger: its by the torch by Liron's (most northern body) corpse. You need to pass a passive perception check to find it.

not sure if its worth mentioning but you can also find the murder weapon down in the catacombs with a perception check

The corpse is there. In the back you can find a graveyard and a fresh grave in it. You can dig it up if you have a shovel. However, it seems to be bugged as nothing triggered when I did it.

Also handy hint if you use speak to the dead on the corpse of the father he tells you how to get in so you don't even need the perception checks

Door was broken on me.. would instantly open and close pretty much at the same time. Turned of turn-based mode and was able to get to the other side of the door and open it with the level on the wall

so i did the librarian quest first wich leads me to the same room and i lock picked the door open to find the body onder the bed but now that the dresser is unlocked the quest wont progress find where the flower keys go even tho i can enter inside

BODY LOCATION:
when you go to the graveyard, on the right side of the white mausoleum (in the center against the building wall) there is a tiny grave and mound of dirt. read the gravestone, dig the grave (you can collect a shovel right in front of the mausoleum)

break the box and then cast "speak with dead" spell on the body and ask how he died and where he died

To anyone stuck make sure before going to the basement that you use speak with dead on father lorgan in the kitchen and ask where he died, it will then update the log and should stop the quest from bugging when you pick uo the flower key and dagger. Hope this helps :)

Just a quick correction. The body is there, but he is not buried in the open grave we first see. It is buried inside the coffin beside the altar, near where you find the medicine potion. You need to dig the coffin, than brake it to show the corpse, so you can use speak with the dead. It still don't seems like enough evidence to Valeria.

The corpse outback isn't bugged. First read the tombstones to find his grave, dig up the coffin, break the coffin with a attack, then you can speak to him.

I found the dagger in a hole opposite side of the platform where you fight the Doppler gangers. Also got the key but my game is still showing a quest marker on Liron Dustclotters body 🤷🏻‍♂️

Brooo I just spent like an hour looking around for that stupid dwarf cause I read the letter from his mom, I must have missed clicking on the note on the desk because of the map sitting right next to it
