Hey bro, , recently found your channel love to see you skating/ exploring NJ as well as skating ann van, a park i helped get started when i was a kid. A little history on "the ditch" We have been skating that since i lived in the neighborhood growing up and my childhood bedroom faced it. I moved there when i was 8 and started skating a year later. I am now 43 ( i still skate, though not as much as i like). In the early 90's the ditch was quite popular on the weekends with kids from a bunch of surrounding towns. To be honest, its how we met kids from other towns that we didn't know (we are pre internet dinosaurs i get it). We used to flatten out and line the dirt around the edges with plywood so you could "dial in" how much coping you would get. we would also steal parking blocks and put them around as well as make little roll ins. Majority of skating was done up top with the occasional snake runs to the end. Keep on ripping and hope to see you out at annvann one day so i can say HI. Matt

Growing up in Texas this brings back memories, ditches were one of the few spots city cops wouldn't kick you out of, as long as you weren't being an asshole.

That 180 switch 50-50 back to regular your homie did was gnarly! Keep up the great content big dawg.

You maybe could dig the top out a little bit and add some cinderblocks or even pour some concrete 🤔 if that’s not a local spot that may be more trouble than it’s worth though. Locals were definitely slackin

Sk8able ditches are rare cuz IL is a SWAMP 😏
