My buddy bought a Seestar and brought it to our local farmers market. All of us were blown away. And I told one of the guys that probably knows more about Astro photography and space than any human that I’ve ever met and he was gonna stay with the old School one that he had the Celestron 8 inch with the DSLR etc. etc., and I tried to explain to him how cool the Seestar was but he wasn’t having it. Well, he showed up and saw it. He drove home and ordered one. I opted to get the S 30 because it was $150 cheaper and I’ve had good reviews.

I'll go with the Dwarf 3. Mad they've gone for a cheaper smaller entry level device instead of an upgrade on the S50. Either they didnt see the Dwarf 3 coming or they've got another scope in the works to compete.

Is the S30 capable of being mounted in Polar Mode and still be able to plate solve? Or is it only ALT-AZ?

I’ll wait to see a side by side comparison of photos between the s30 and s50. Is the s50 mosaic mode out for everyone?

Based on the specs, it looks like the S30 has a 2.46° FOV in telephoto mode whereas the S50 can do around 1°. I assume that means the S50 will be better at planetary viewing?

Wow, can't wait to see what folks get with this new scope! Have a question though if I is the difference between an Emission Nebula and an H2 nebula specifically which of the two benefits from using a Dual Band filter (Ha/O3) like that on the Seestar S50 for imaging?

Beside the smartness, it's still only a tiny 30 mm Telescope (1, 18 inches) and you will only get images with that of a Telescope with a 1, 18 inch lens no matter what.
