This is amazing, I'd love to see more development on it! If there's one person in the blender community who'll figure hair simulations our in blender, possibly even with the latest procedural hair system, it is you!

I've been using the new hair system with cloth physics to have collisions. If you implement collisions with this simulation, this will be the ultimate way to simulate hair.

This was great to watch live. I love great tutorials, but It's even better to watch a livestream. Tutorials are so well put together but livestreams give a real sense of the work involved.

this is the only thing that stops me from using the new hair system since all my work is in animation and simulation, the new hair system didn't have a real way to simulate so I was put off but if you can get it to work with collisions I might actually start using it

I was trying to do this too, with a different approach, but couldn't get it working. This is giving me new ideas. Hair without movement is coding bait. lol

People would pay to get this for themselves.

i'd pay for an addon that's fully works, i think lot's of people would, although i heard geonodes will have hair sim, but until then i'd still pay.
