This is the Interceptor. It is a 100% solar-powered waste removal system. It is probably the best current solution for cleaning up the large scale plastic pollution which is building up in the rivers of the world today. The Interceptor collects this plastic waste before it enters our precious oceans and destroys the marine life. This eco-friendly potentially world saving innovation was developed by the Ocean Cleanup. The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit foundation founded by the Dutch inventor Boyan Slat. The Interceptor is built with the design borrowed from a Catamaran. It prevents plastic from entering the world's oceans through rivers. It does this by autonomously extracting the plastic waste. The Interceptor from the Ocean Cleanup, is a clean and efficient step to save our dying rivers, and millions of its precious aquatic life forms. It also impacts humans, and eventually the entire world, in making it a safer, and cleaner place to live in.
