Buck Punk Review -- Crocket20

Does the Buck Punk deliver? Or is it just another knife on the market? Have had plenty of use with the Punk and this is what I've found.

Punk just came in the mail as a birthday gift! Hiking tomorrow, so we'll be able to try it out. I really like the style, ergonomic shape, etc. I'm a little nervous about the egde near the forward choil. Might have to blunt an 1/8" of it.

I had luck to win this knife last year. I've been using Ka-Bar BK2 earlier but this one is just one class higher. Quality of steel, functionality of sheeth and every aspect of this knife just made my jaw drop to the ground. Simply love it!

I agree, I am going to reduse the abruptness of the edge of the handel scales on mine, they get a bit uncomfortable with continuous use. Really nice knife.

I wanted the Hoodlum, because of Ron, and also the styling, features, capability, etc., but it seemed a little too big for my needs. I looked at the Punk, and wondered if it would be too small. Sounds like it might be just right. I love the good looking functionality of both. Great review, I liked the close ups.

Indeed, so after having it sit in a drawer for so long, I decided to fix it myself this weekend. Not that it is advisable or anything, but paying over 40$ in shipping for the a warranty claim on a 120$ knife is not a good investment. I used a drummel to grind to top part until I got to the edge and tried to make it gradual as possible, it ended up been like a tip on the Endura. I now have a strong and sharp tip back on this sweet blade! Good as new! lol

Very nice! I got mine through Karen Hood, Ron's wife while we were working togther and use it all the time, but it does have some sentimental value to it. Very accurate anaylsis of the blade! Great job.

Have you tried a convex or scandi ground knives? After using these two grinds I can't go back to a "standard" grind. I feel the two grinds listed above just cut through wood so much better.
