The 'ol Watering Hole

At a week long scouting camp when I was younger, I received the assignment to find a spot in the backcountry (near camp of course) and observe for 1 hour. Along with this assignment was to document via writing what was observed. This is kind of a repeat of that assignment. Although I would like to hit a high alpine location and do the same thing at some point. This trip I was there much longer than an hour. Nice to sit back and just relax/observe.

The video, shows us what nature has to offer us. The beauty around us. The calmness around us in nature to. A time to relax and reflex, as I say to clear ones mind. your video is an invtation to go out and enjoy life. i cant think of the words to use, but one knows that has been there, what im trying to say. Nice! This is one of those that you have be there to appreciate it. I'm bad about always being "on the move" even in the outdoors. When I force to self to stop & observe I see so much more & find peace. Good stuff brother!

Really enjoyed this man... thanks for bringin' us along. I know what ya mean about some of the vids not seeming to have enough "meat" to them, but oftentimes it's the vids like this of just being out and capturing what means something to you personally that really comes across in a way that I think alot of us relate/connect very well to. Hey, it was fun and cool brother! I'm glad you posted it and I really liked the red tail. Looked like it might have been a juvenile having a late season molt but not sure.

I do this kind of thing at my range periodically. I know it sounds crazy but if I go during the week, the place is almost always deserted and it's just me and the occasional deer, hog, hawk, buzzard (yuck), fox, coyote or snapping turtle.
