I've owned this Lake Baikal edition for several months now. It's such a special color. Sometimes you look down and its just boring in certain lights and then you will walk into a room with different lighting or have it paired with the right clothes and all of the sudden it wants to steal the show. Such a cool watch for its changing personality depending on its surroundings.

I have two Oris, both driven by SW-200. I find them very accurate.

I got the Source of Life Aquis last month and it's absolutely stunning!
I don't care that it's a base grade Sellita, it's consistently 10 seconds quick per day, but I enjoy it and it's just a pleasure to wear. The bracelet is fantastic. Yes, it's a custom lug design but I got over it because it's just such a wonderful watch. When you like a watch so much even the things that otherwise might bother you drift into the abyss. Besides, the bracelet is super comfortable

All of the Oris watches I've owned were pretty accurate no more than 7 to 10 seconds a day. I still own a big crown pointer date in blue that runs +2 or 3 a day. I guess I've had good luck.

The caseback is supposed to depict the icy frozen water of lake Baikal. Very interesting to know and makes it all the more enjoyable to appreciate its beauty. Wear it in good health Bruce!

Just bought this watch... Its beautiful. I'm about a week in. Its actually beautiful, keeps decent time but it's a bit top heavy, it's so big that if you wear it loose it bangs the shit out of your wrist/ hand but if you wear it too tight it's painful. Catching glimpses at the corner of my eye it looks amazing and in different light it looks different which is great because it doesn't get boring. I bought it as a daily driver but I've realised I'm not sure if it's suited for that, it's a bit big, heavy and too colourful dare I say but as an occasional wear or weekend wear it's phenomenal.

Also, big note, mine DOES have a lume pip in the bezel which is interesting why Bruce's doesn't, hmmm.

I love oris aquis so much. I bought these aquis two times. But i would be really happy if i could get sixty five-sized aquis. Thanks for the amazing review. your videos are always stunning.

If this Oris was at a lower price point or a superior movement then I would move on it to be the first Oris in my collection. I really appreciate your video content Bruce.

I am a fan of the integrated bracelet when it fits well. It eliminates the possibility of wasting money on other straps when I always end up coming back to the metal bracelet anyway!

Any suggestions on an aftermarket bracelet for the Oris aquis that has better adjustability? The adjustability is not terrific the quality is excellent. I’m looking for something similar to perhaps the Pelagos bracelet? Thank you for any suggestions 😀

Bruce your videos are 👏. I’ve owned two Oris watches including an Aquis for the last 6 years on the rubber strap. Recently, I upgraded it to the stainless steel strap. However, the stainless steel strap is not very adjustable with only three points for micro adjustment. But, the rubber strap is exceptional and very comfortable with multiple settings for adjustment. The fact that they are proprietary straps is a bummer with the availability of so many great strap options on the market and think they are missing the mark. I still love the watch and it will always be a part of the collection, but I feel a watch with an in-house movement will most likely be my next purchase.

Oris really know how to nail their colour combos. 👌 I need to get myself an Aquis at some point soon!

Much as I love Oris as a brand (my Oris 65 is a keeper), the SW-200 movement with a 38-hr. power reserve they're using is now starting to look dated. At this price range, the Longines HC offers a movement with a higher beat rate and a 64-hr. power reserve. Even the new Seikos (62Mas and Willard re-issues for 2020) have a 70-hr. power reserve. The other watches using SW-200 (like Christopher Ward) or even the Swatch group divers using a Powermatic 80 movement (Tissot, Mido, etc.) are priced lower than Oris. It will be interesting to see how Oris reacts to this. If they eventually go with an in-house movement, the price increase will likely take them to Tudor price level, where they will not be as competitive. Their other alternative is to use a graded SW-200 movement to keep price levels reasonable. However, this last alternative can only be short-term, because the $1500-2000 market will have many watches offering a movement with a better power reserve. While the movement is not an "end-all" consideration in buying a watch, still and all, it is an important one.

I look forward to your comparison of the Aquis green dial and Longines HC anthracite dial. I previously tried both (the LHC on the rubber strap) and liked them.

I love the look of the Aquis, but I am a big fan of wearing my diver on a nato strap (not possible with the integrated lugs) and I wish it had on the fly bracelet adjustment. If it could add on the fly adjustment I would likely buy it
