Oris continues its mission to bring change for the better and to conserve water, the source of life, with the new Lake Baikal Limited Edition, a watch made in partnership with the Lake Baikal Foundation.

Siberia’s Lake Baikal is the world’s largest source of fresh water, accounting for 20 per cent of the global total. At its deepest point, it’s 1,642 metres deep, making it the world’s deepest lake. It’s also Siberia’s largest source of life and a natural habitat for several thousand endemic plants and animals. But all this is under threat because of man-made pollution, much of it caused by careless industry. Funds raised by sales of the new Oris Lake Baikal Limited Edition will be used in support of ‘Point No1’, a Lake Baikal conservation project run by the Scientific Research Institute of Biology at Irkutsk State University. The watch is based on Oris’s high-performance Aquis diver’s watch and is limited to 1,999 pieces to mark the year Russia adopted the Baikal Law protecting the lake. It’s presented in environmentally friendly cardboard packaging.

Incredible watch. Didn't buy clean ocean only because of the small case size
