I was someone who struggled with depression. I had to learn to be my own best friend and 'cheerleader'. I started to think and speak more highly of myself, and my life has improved significantly. Also, I am a Christian, and I do put God first. But I have to do my part too.

Proverbs 18:21 this scripture does state:
“Life and death is in the power of the tongue”
Genesis 1:1-31
This scripture clarifies how God SPOKE the world into existence.

What so ever you ask in prayer;🙏 you will receive if you ask in faith!
There are over 50 scriptures relating, how powerful the spoken word is!

I can honestly say that when I was at a very low point and couldn't get into my Bible studying, I had Sirius radio at the time and listened to Joel Osteen and even though it's a simple weak message that gets destroyed by the John MacArthurs and his wannabes and followers, osteens messages helped reignite my faith and got me back into studying the Bible. So I don't see why all the hate is towards him. We all have access to bibles. Read it yourself, study it yourself, don't rely on any pastor to tell you who to listen to and how to work out your own salvation. Those are the real brood of vipers Jesus talked about.

Joel Osteen is a good pastor, powerful orator, and excellent motivator. All these other "preachers" are simply jealous. Don't worry about Joel or his flock, take care of your own.

According to Proverbs 13:3, Proverbs 12:14, Proverbs 18:21, Ephesians 4:29, Matthew 12:36 Joel actually has a valid point in what he’s saying.

I truly believe what Joel stated. Prisons are full of people who talked themselves into committing A crime. People always talk themselves into the gist of what is going on. Some people listen too hard to anyone speaking and want to hold on to every word, good or bad. Joel's sermon was a good sermon providing information about self-esteem and self-hate.

Joel Osteen actually helped me through 8 years of depression. His semons helped me understand n made me feel I could face life.i started listening to him on TV one day .He caught my attention by talking about what I was going through at that moment. From then
On I followed his sermons.I listened to him any chance I could.God will always send you a messenger to help n comfort you.Joel was it.I will always be grateful to him.
