Hate when people repeatedly say that a prototype exploding it's a failure, it's propose is to acquire data. A failure would be not being able to acquire data from the iteration.

I mean... worrying that Spacex hasnt managed to land their new rocket on earth yet, when literally no one else has landed a rocket from an orbital launch doesn't really make sense. And that mindset is part of why NASA has stopped making progress. They became so risk adverse after the shuttle disasters, it leaked into testing which doesnt make sense. Be that risk averse when lives are involved, but otherwise you need to be willing to lose rockets to make progress.
