Reese got beat by Clark on the drive. Reese was so embarrassed by Clark exposing her weak defense that she wanted to exact revenge against Clark right at that moment.

The ball was out of reach but Clark's head was still within reach, so she could not help herself and whacked Clark on the head out of jealousy, hatred and frustration.
