Do You Know the Right Order to Write a Patent? Learn Now!

- So when you write a patent,
the order in which you write
it matters, in my opinion.
First, you should start
off with the claims,
then the drawings, then the summary,
then the detailed description,
and then the title, or abstract.
The reason that you wanna
start with the claims first
is because the claims are like
the foundation to a house.
If you have strong claims,
then the rest of your house
will be very sturdy and strong.
And a lot of the things
you write in the claims
will eventually be propagated
to the rest of the sections.
Of course, I'll go over the details
of each of these sections
in future lectures,
but I just wanted to first share the order
in which we're gonna go about it
and the most efficient way, in my opinion,
to write a patent.
