I live in south Texas and deal with Hurricanes every summer. Board up all your windows, or at least put crossing tape to sustain breakage. Go buy a few gallons of water and some storable food for a week if things get nasty. If you have family inland just go there, don't take risk. God Bless

Yes. We had 2 big pre winter storms. Irene and the blizzard of October. We lost power for an entire week during both incidents. I was amazed a snow storm could have that much of an impact.
