Wait a second.  My Pa went to work at a blue collar job at ei dupont shortly after he returned from the Korean War.  His job provided a good pay check, matching savings, stock by in, medical,   dental,   2 weeks of vacation a year and a very safe work environment (at time his plant was certified as the safest factory in the world) My mom stayed home and took care of the kids.  He could buy a new car pretty frequently,   he bought some vacation/retirement property and he could send his kids to college.

When I was in my twenties he told me he lived in the Golden years of the factory worker. And I laughed at him. At that time corporate taxes were 90%. But rather than spending that money on taxes, corporations invested that money back in the company and its employees. After Reagan cut corporate taxes to 30% there was no incentive for corporations to take care of their workers. Capitalism ram a muck and all the profits went to the top tier CEOs and VPs.

I'm 67 now he's 94. There are no blue collar jobs like that in America anymore.  The retirement health insurance is gone, the life insurance he paid for 60 years was canceled. The promise of America is gone! THAT'S WHAT CAPITALISM WILL GET YOU!

2:36 conveniently leaves out the Enclosure Acts, in which the Govt at the behest of Capitalists, outlawed the commons and subsistence living, thus forcing men into urban centers to find wage work. They needed a working class and couldn’t create one without government intervention.

Nice overall video here. It explains things very well from a pro capitalist point of view. You did mention some of the negatives of capitalism. Something I feel that is missing is that there has never been an equal playing field in business. Monopolies are inevitable in order to continue to increase profits. Companies like Disney will continue to push for positive gains and even go to firing work forces, acquiring other business to increase their margins for their share holders. This leads to issues with the workers. It would be great to add more information about the workers. You spent some time with the positives of capitalism from a "boss" perspective. You put that less than 10% of the world is living in extreme poverty using capitalism as the driving force. Escaping extreme poverty to still be in poverty is still a problem. Maximizing profits lead to low wages, unsafe working conditions and even child labor as well as human rights violations. Some of the checks to capitalism and greed are unions and government regulation. Great video, I really enjoyed it.

Capitalism is an unmanaged economy. America is not Capitalist as there are lots of levels you can pull to choose who the winners and looser are inside of the economy.
what people have gotten a distaste for is the socialist aspects of the American economy, yet they believe that more socialism is the answer.
The U.S. does not have moderate debt levels.

Capitalism depends on the government's social nets to survive, yet continues to oppose contributing to them. Something will give, and it's usually the government that fails.

This video is chuck full of lies.
First off and most important, capitalism did NOT create the explosion of the industrial era. If you actually look at history (and not the made up history presented in this video), capitalism was around for a good century if not more, before the industrial era. Many historians mark the end of feudalism with the French Revolution, however even historians argue about this date. Therefore, capitalism since its inception, didnt lift people out of poverty. If you look at history factually (and not through the eyes of capitalists) the industrial era occurred for 2 main reasons, namely 1) the discovery of oil, and 2) the rise of Science.
Its not capitalism that gives us faster cars, taller buildings, longer lifespans, and lifts billions out of poverty, like capitalists continually lie about (like in this video too), its always been Science. Science, and not capitalism, is the reason for most all of the great things in our lives, while disingenuous capitalists can be witnessed continually trying to take credit for the fruits of Science.
Dont believe me? How about a thought experiment then? If given only capitalism and Science to develop a computer for example ... If I take away capitalism, the computer can still be built with Science. However, if I take Science away and am left with only capitalism, there is no way for the computer to be constructed.
If you think that capitalism is responsible for providing the resources like many pro-capitalists like to claim, remember there were resources way before capitalism, during feudalism too, not to mention as far back as 'the bronze age', hence the name.
In short, its not capitalism that lifts all boats, its Science. Dont let anyone tell you differently.

1. Capitalism is a social system based on individual rights, including property rights, in which all property is privately owned.
2. No country is capitalist today. The US is a mixed economy. We don’t have capitalism!

If this channel’s intent is unbiased educational content - kudos. But if it’s intent is to sell capitalism then stop it .I think a lot of the West understands pretty well the impacts of capitalism on their lives. It’s a patently unfair economic system as well as a power player to influence democratic control via their lobbying into governments, including taxes and spending. I am all for a fair and just society where ‘proper’ value is assigned to all people, whether they are workers or business owners. There is no such thing as free markets. It all can be manipulated and frequently is. The bigger question is what is a better system. Capitalists need to think about reforms to the current system they obviously prefer. Innovate the system. One would think I am anti-Capital. I am not. I am interested in a fair and just system and the current version of capitalism does not meet that standard.

Bro said no Corruption, 🤣🤣
Actually the main core concept of capitalism is corruption,
Taking value from workers, & selling it on higher price, & giving them pennies to survive,
Name bigger corruption than this !!

This is a very good video. I am actually surprised. I would change a few words and maybe be a bit more critical about some points, but this is ok. Definitely not propaganda. (I'm a marxist, I know what is propaganda. Both left and right wing bullshit are very familiar to me. And this is pretty objective actually.)

" The rich are rich because they are more productive than their poorer equivalence" The most bullshit and laughable statement I've ever heard. We all know this isn't true. He doesn't mention the numerous people that are already born into wealthy families who haven't actually worked a day in their lives. I appreciate the video but its obvious this video is bias in favor of Capitalism.
