I wouldn't recommend anyone to adopt Microsoft web development as a skillset. By the time you have got yourself up to speed with it, Microsoft will have discontinued the technology you built your application on and be 3 versions ahead in a completely different direction with no upgrade path. The MS development ecosystem is a fragmented mess with no direction.
