Singapore has been running a bubble economy for way too long. In the past 10 years, banks have been able to grow at 30% per annum while the GDP just barely made it above 3%.

Even if there are long-term installments systems for Singapore real estate mortgages, the loans for house property in Singapore are too much to pay off coz the increasing prices on inflation and speculation. Singapore May be good example leading Asian market but not humanitarian as the West, after all.

Yes, high interest rate and inflation are biting hard into the budget of every household. It's unfair to blame everything on the government. This is a serious problem happening all over the world. I believe HDB has been doing a very good job all these years in housing Singaporeans. Poor and low income Singaporeans are very well taken care of in comparison to most countries in the world.

People have to understand, there's an entire generation that has never witnessed property price crashes, and 6% interest rates on property.
Even when my parents lament the mad interest rates then, I don't comprehend it till I see what's going to happen.
But right if Singapore government wants to keep it afloat, just remove all the stamp duty, the damm market will float back up.
