When you consider the price of a F-150, they will have to go 200K miles so you can get to your last auto loan payment.

Why not do a video on what to watch out for on high mileage cars? See a lot of high mile cars with shot suspension parts. Also neglected timing belt changes when checking carfax for services.

My younger son is driving my 2005 Pilot with over 250k miles. His wife was driving my 2006 TL with over 200k until she wrecked it. My younger daughter is driving my 2010 MDX with about 220k miles. I fully expect my 2019 Pilot to make it to 200k, if I do. No engine or transmission issues with any of them.

My Prius has 290, 000 miles and is going strong. It's from the same generation of Prius that saw huge adoption by NYC cab companies, which would easily rack up well over 300, 000 miles on each car. I expect nothing less from mine.

We would certainly like to compare the maintenance and repair bills accumulated over those 200, 000 miles by the different models.

Thanks for letting us know of the vehicles that get 200, 000 Miles. When a consumer buys a $20, 000 plus vehicle they like to see their investment grow. 🌞

My 2004 Saturn Ion has 250000+ miles and still going. It looks awful but I don’t mind. No one wants to steal it. Never had any major repairs. Just routine maintenance and an occasional tire or battery. I can’t bring myself to buy a new car. They cost so much. A lot more bells and whistles but I really don’t want all the extras that could also break down. Last time I thought about buying the cars were all fully loaded. I live in the south so I don’t want to pay for heated seats. Most of the extras are played with when new then never used again. You can never find a basic car and when you ask the dealer about ordering something they no longer want to talk to you. They aren’t going to make as much money without the best package. Maybe I’m not buying because I just can’t bear dealing with the dealer. I wish I still had a manual crank window with the little side wing that goes out. You could get fresh air even when it’s raining.

My Honda Accord 307000, my Camry 297000, my Corolla 325000 miles. Note, all of these cars did not die. I just sold them. A car brand must prove to reach at least 200, 000 mi as a minimum for my consideration.

At current prices……..all of them should !
It’s mostly how you drive and doing oil changes.
Stomp on gas and slam on brakes won’t get to 200k

I bought a '98 Chevy Lumina with 70, 427 miles on it in 2000 and it had over 275k miles on it when I sold it in 2006, and it still ran fine.

Run a catalytic converter treatment, also have an extra driver side seat control cover sitting on a shelf, that part does eventually get discontinued & tends to break.

Many cars fail, both foreign and domestic, because the owner does not follow common sense oil changes, transmission fluid flush and fills, and the like on a regular basis. Our 2005 Focus has 216, 000 miles and I expect our 2013 Escape and 2016 Fusion to give the same good service.
