Herbalists Want Funding From Government

Practitioners of herbal medicine are calling on the government to fund them, to help them serve more people effectively. According to them many countries, like China have harnessed herbal medicine, and made it a lucrative venture for their economies. The stakeholders are also up in arms over the introduction of an annual registration fee. According to the group, the national environment management authority (NEMA), has introduced an annual registration fee of fifty thousand shillings, a fee they say is too high for most of the practitioners of herbal medicine.
