The fact that she's deaf just really is impactful. Even though there may be someme calling out for her, she won't hear them. That could also mean other things. She lives in a soundless world where her thoughts are the only voice she hears, as you know, your thoughts aren't really to help you but go against you. So when he saved her life, she was awaken within, and that physical touch was what she needed.

When this movie released I was young and immature, I was in middle school and was busy making fun of how sappy it was. Now im a young adult I emphasize so much with the protag, this movie was one of the main driving factors to why i didn't commit even in my darkest moments and made me realize others will be sad if im gone.

These two characters are different but at the same time theyre the same because the boy dont like socializing and has lock himself up from the society like all youve seen in the movie where the x faces is and the girl is trying her best to be accepted by the society man this show hits hard
