The Boeing 777X has had so many sudden flaws to the point that it has been pushed all the way back a decade, to 2026. This begs the question, just how bad is the 777X actually?

This video is the equivalent of a high school student trying to meet the minimum word count in an essay; all fluff.

35 years ago, Boeing was able to conceive, design, engineer, build, test, certify, and enter into service the 777-200, which has to this day maintained its reputation as one of the safest and best flying, best engineered, and best built airliners of the last half century, in less than 4 years. Today, a modest UPGRADE of that existing plane has taken them 14 so far, and they're HOPING they might have it ready in the next 2. This is what stripping regulations and incentivizing executives to sink billions into stock buybacks instead of talent or sustainability and utterly strip mine companies for short term profit has led to.

But hey, tech CEO's increased their wealth by 1 trillion collectively in 2024, so there's that.

The B777-300 is an iconic and highly successful aircraft. It pains to see its legacy go down the drains with B777x due to Boeing executives' greed.

I’m no expert, but I feel uncomfortable about this aircraft.

Airplanes should not be made in backorder, this is a recipe for catastrophe. Something like this should not be rushed or even have delivery dates.

I question the claimed efficiency of the 777x. The fuselage is made from aluminum, so it's heavier than an equivalent carbon one. The wing is carbon, but I've yet to see a Boeing wing that doesn't have to use vortex generators, which increase drag. Each wing has five flap fairings, or "canoes", which increase drag. The A350 has just three canoes, and no vortex generators.

@2:54 the claim that the wingtips fold during flight, is that true? I thought they fold before takeoff & after landing while taxing

Bad as in missing key safety features that keep passengers safe bad?

Well, perhaps BOEING 777X would be continued right away because my thinking BOEING 777X is a lesson trouble than BOEING 737 MAX that got big trouble like that.

I wonder how much the performance envelope goes down, if those foldable wing tips fold up in flight?

Does anyone have any data on that?
I’m sure they’ve tested it …. I mean if they haven’t, they will just because it is a certification issue.

FAA doesn't like too much the folding wingtips I read somewhere.
Some people see a big black cloud over this program and Boeing.😢

Boeing groundbreaking? Yep, every time one crashes, it breaks a hole in the ground.
Btw, 2024 is twenty twenty-four.

its a dead idea and design like the max it should be scrapped immediately.

The problem is that materials technology and physics just cant operate aircraft of this design with two engines. The distortion and stressing in the airframe would just pull it apart in suprise the test plane is just suffering from the problem forecast.

Conclusion sack all Boeing designers and the incompetent board at Boeing as it demonstrates to the world it just cant built aircraft any more.why are incompetent directors still at Boeing asking the USA taxpayer to subsidize their stupidity?

The world has given Boeing nine lives its destroyed all those chances...times run out close the

Airbus is safe Boing has landing system problem. Boeing 1 out of 10 does not land normal. Being Avionics Engineer I can explain the problem or anyone working in Boeing factory.

I avoid them. The previous model run by Emirates ones feet were at different levels in a window seat. Very uncomfortable
