I’m so humbled.... it’s been a year since I really did anything that included thoughts or activities involving the church. I can’t even remember the last time I prayed unfortunately.... so when I’m watching some spooky videos with my collage roommate the last thing I expected to see in an ad was president Nelson. And realized just how much I need general conference this year.

I joined The Church if Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in February of 1975. For the first time in my life, in April of 1975, I boarded a plane in Salt Lake City, Utah to return home after attending General Conference. I was almost 21 years old and I was beyond terrified. We were cleared for take off and began our taxi toward the runway. Without announcement, the plane eased to a stop and a few minutes later President Spencer W. Kimball entered the plane with a few other men. I released my death grip on the arm of my chair and thought to myself, "I'm riding in a plane wih the prophet of God." I remember thinking that this would be the safest plane ride in the history of aviation... So glad I did not know President Nelson's story at that time. In the intervening 46 years death has taken my parents, three brothers, a sister, all my grandparents, and an infant niece. I add my voice to President Nelson's that because of ther Savior I KNOW I will see them again.

Just when I was at my wit's end, this message appeared .. tears rolled down my face .. peace resonated in my heart. Thanks to the Lord - He was, once more, ready to take me in and give me hope. I love you, Jesus ❤

I love that, on Palm Sunday instead of focusing on the palms that were laid before Christ, think of what Christ did with His palms.
