The set, in addition to having a large number of pieces, has a long list of minifigures, so for my taste it is one of the best Lego sets

Kind of weird there's no Gringotts. It has far more plot significance than almost all of the other buildings and has a more iconic and recognisable exterior (except maybe for Weasley's Wizard Wheezes).

Why would they include kid version of the characters when weasley's wizard wheezes didnt exist at that point? the minifigs should be the versions from Order of the Phoenix and older then

So clever that you can connect two of the buildings together to save some space. Think I'm going to get it even though I'm not the biggest HP fan

It kind of bugs me that the mini figures are not from the same timeline if you know what I mean. Like, all the kids are still little except for Fred and George, who are already running their shop. They just mixed two stories: the one from the second book including shopping in Diagon Alley, Gilderoy Lockhart and the Malfoys. And then they just threw in Weasley’s wizard wheezes from what, the sixth or seventh movie? I get that it’s an appealing shop to include, but come on…

its weird how they have the figures from the first two movies, but they had the Weasleys shop here, which is from the later movies

Sets where you can build together are the best. Nothing beats building LEGO with a friend or family member!

I'm a very new Lego Harry Potter lover, and your review helped me settling if I really needed this Diagon Alley set.

I would love the shop with magical creatures that's also in diagon alley, the Magical Menagerie. But I understand that they needed to make it affordable and couldn't fit everything in. 
Besdes it is pretty forgettable, so maybe if they try to make another one, they might include it there, I hope! 
The build is still amazing though!!! It has so much to offer!

Thanks Tiago, great review! This really is a great set but the price tag does gives me pause. I’m sure I’ll eventually get it. When it comes to the stickers I don’t mind them that much, I can see how they can become a chore after your 15th or 20th application. But for some reason I really don’t like the stickers that have prints of bricks. It’s kind of like those moments in movies that take you out of a movie, the prints of bricks take me out of the experience with the lego set. Might just be me :)

They better do a gringots soon as well. As a leaky cauldron we don’t have that either and these are both very big parts in the movie however, they are also a bit bigger so it makes sense that they should be their own individual set but where are they?

Hi, Tiago! I'm SUPER new to the Lego world. I am crazy about your videos. You walk us through the sets, and keep it all so interesting and informative. You do a wonderful job. I've only done three sets: the potions classroom, a police car and the Seinfeld set. I agree about the stickers. If you get it on perfectly, it's so satisfying. But if not-it's maddening. On the Seinfeld set, I got Jerry's front door sticker a little askew and it's all I can see. My solution is to keep his front door open, like Kramer just came bursting in. Thank you so much for your reviews. I hope soon I'm lucky enough to be able to do Diagon Alley!

I really like this set! I love it because my sister also likes it! So because each building is its own book we can build together! Super fun experience
