No need for dongles or additional add ons, you can get paid by using the NFC on your iPhone! You can accept contactless cards or from another phone with ApplePay or GooglePay

Thank you! Works fine on my iPhone SE (2nd gen) iOS version 17.2.1. I had to also update my Square app otherwise it wasn't working. Works great now!

That is SO slick. I've been using Square for years and didn't know this. I just gave it a try. So simple.

I think it’s not available on the square app in Canada. Is it?

I was so excited to find this and learn about Tap to Pay and then I find out it currently is only available by Square in the USA. Sad news for this Canadian Square customer.

There are still issues with getting with tap to pay cards to actually work even though they have nfc technology to work. It’s a hit or miss when it works. Using Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google pay works seamlessly though.

My Square app just updated to include this feature today. It works great! The only problem is if a customer wants to use a card that doesn’t tap, my plug in Square card swiper no longer works. It shows as being connected in settings but it will not let me swipe the card. I’ve been having to do manual card entry for these customers which sucks bc I know Square charges me a higher percentage for manual entries, it holds up the line, and I have a reader that should be able to swipe but won’t anymore. I haven’t found anyone else online having this issue. Do you know if there’s anything I can do?

Great video THX!!! (FYI- there's some very low rumbling throughout your video. Do you know what a high pass filter is? Maybe next time run your audio through that before posting. Just a suggestion. Again, many thanks for the info!!)

This is amazing. Where do the funds go? Do they go into your apple pay account or to square to then be transferred later to you bank account?

If the amount is over the contactless limit does it allow the customer to put the pin in to your phone or would you then need square hardware for that?

Hi! Question. Can this be used if we don't have the square POS/cash register system? We are a small hostel and are having a party where we would like to charge people via the Square app on our phones. Do we need to have the whole square setup in order for a "iPhone POS" to work? Thanks!!

Can you set this up regenerate the amount? For example $5 always?
