I’m glad you tell us when you don’t like something. I can’t stand food vloggers who say they like everything

Thank you so much for covering this!! Indonesia actually has a dozen or more different regional variations of laksa throughout the country. But when I tell my Singaporean and Malaysian friends this, they don't believe me! Most don't even know Indonesia has laksa at all. We Indonesians really need to step up our game in marketing our culture to the world.

The best indonesian laksa's:
Sundanese laksa: bogor city
Javanese laksa: Jepara city
Banjarese laksa: Banjarmasin city.

Luke, what a great episode today, you are very entertaining and professional in your work. I must tell you that before you criticized the one meal I was thinking there must be some foods you don’t like. I have done a fair amount of traveling in Asia and one has to be careful in what they eat and drink. I am sure you have encountered many instances where you pay through an upset stomach etc. Please keep up your superior work and I will continue to watch always experiencing the visits with you.

If you didn't like the Lumpia Basah, maybe you should try Lumpia Goreng (fried springroll), especially from Semarang, Central Java.
They have nice sweet & savoury taste, and more tastefully if you dip it on their special sauce. :-)

Laksa has so many variations & am not surprised that it’s also available in Indonesia which is a food haven. Even in Malaysia there are many variations of laksa depending on the state/province, with the famous one like asam laksa to laksa Sarawak, which the late Anthony Bourdain claimed to be breakfast of the Gods.

The wrapping for Toge Goreng actually not banana leaf but Patat/Garut leaf (Maranta Arundinacea), familiar leaf wrapping in Bogor for food beside banana leaf.
