It is true ... foreigners would think that a combo of chocolate and cheese is weird, but Indonesians love it. I've heard other countries also consider this combo a common thing. But most don't.

reason why chocolate and cheese are great pair on desserts in Indonesia is because unlike European cheese, cheese in Indonesia tends to be sweeter not so savory

My God you are in Indonesia! If you are in Jakarta, please try sate ayam, rendang, soto betawi at H. Mamat, and Gado2, if you go to East Java try Tahu tek telor. And also try martabak manis for the dessert.
