In this series of tutorials I am demonstrating how to automate RMAN backup jobs, restore validation and reporting of validation status using OEM 13c and BI Publisher reporting tool that comes free with OEM.

Using this automation framework provided by OEM, we can manage and administer backups very easily without having to buy any other tools or software is a great savings for the organization. Also restore validation of 1000's of databases within a few seconds results in confidence and peace of mind for the DBAs.
