I thought that you had to boil the salt water in order for it to have vapor collected. I believe this is call desalination.

This video was apparently taken in an alternate universe because apparently in THIS one the laws of physics work differently, because everyone on Quora are stating that desalinization "doesnt work" because its too expensive or takes too much power. I love how he bluntly covers the smaller container while pulling it out from the big one then cuts the video. On the next scene we see a lot of water in the in the glass... i guess the experiment didnt go as expected and he had to put some tap water in before revealing the result.

i watched a video of a guy stuck in ocean and turn sea water to fresh so i immediately searched this and tried to remember it
