Lightning Strike Startles Woman Bringing in Her Packages

Bailey Boohacker just returned home from work when she started to bring in her packages left outside her home. Boohacker started slipping and sliding on her rain-slicked porch. When she went to grab one of the final packages, a lightning strike freaked her out. Somehow the 24-year-old woman from Birmingham, Alabama, still managed to retrieve her last package.

As a delivery driver with a lightning phobia this is me during every thunderstorm...also I always place packages close to the door (but without blocking the door) so the packages don't get wet and my customers don't have to go far to bring them in

Last year, during a summer thunder storm, lightning struck the tree in our backyard. The tree was close to our back door. You'd think it would be a loud sound, but all we heard was a sound like wood cracking. I didn't know it happened until after the storm, and I looked out back, and saw the tree. SPILT IN HALF!! My girls was amazed.

You can see the bolt clearly reflected in the puddle next to her foot. That can be very scary. I was walking in the woods in Florida once when lightning struck nearby. It was so close I threw myself to the ground. It hit a building nearby and someone was hurt but they only had minor injuries.Thank goodness. Lighting is no joke.
