Who would've thought that Recollections was quality cardstock? Good to know.

Thank you so very much for the intricate directions and information. My most valuable take away from this is the paper. I have watched so many videos, even your academy lessons. I have never heard the explanation from any youtuber that explains what you just did. They, or you, may have said it, but I did not hear it. The paper matters. The quality matters. This company. That company. This is what I use. I have heard it all. But, Jennifer, I did the you quality paper, and it still tore. But, Jennifer, I do have the paper in a tote with a dessicant supply. But And still. So darn frustrating. The blades. The aluminum foil ball. The hit or miss of the cricut maker actually successfully cutting - argh. I gave up, walked away. I use my Joy and Joy Extra very successfully, but the Maker - grrr. I have no idea why your explanation of the short versus long paper fibers matter to the quality of the cut, but I get it - finally, at last! Thank you very, very much. It makes sense paper wise, but not machine wise. Thinking of the projects I attempted, successful was the one type of paper, specific for the project. After that, hit or miss, because I used "other papers". Not sure why the Joy cuts grocery bag brown paper like a charm, would never put that in the Maker. There is hope for this Christmas card season after all 😊 Sometimes it is the simplist pieces of information that hit us front and center😂

Will a thicker paper work well? I was thinking it wouldn't flex or droop as much? I'm currently in love with the Recollections 100 lb. paper because it's so sturdy. Would it or another heavy paper work?
