Kituyi Appointed to head UNCTAD

Former minister for trade and industry and Kimilili Member of Parliament Dr Mukhisa Kituyi has been nominated to serve as the head of the united nations conference on trade and development. In a statement posted on the United Nations website, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon formally nominated Dr Kituyi to head the 194-country member body when the current chief Supachai Panitchpakdi steps down at the end of august.
