Also called POLYOX, this liquid is viscoelastic do it is very long polymer chains meaning it behaves in strange ways.

love that this is not a 25-minute video explaining everything 8 times. Just straight to the point.

You can find an even more everyday fluid that has this property - egg whites. Admittedly it doesn't have quite the same level of wow factor, as I think the proteins in egg white (which I'm guessing are the driving mechanism of the "self pouring") are shorter than the polymers in polyethylene oxide, and so it tends to come out in drips and drabs instead of one long fluid flow.
It's also an incredibly annoying property of egg whites too, as they tend to drag the yolk with them whilst you are trying to separate the two for baking purposes.

As a teacher can I take a moment to say thank you for my passionate concepts you demonstrate so well to my class. Mr R.

So... what happens if you coat a chain of beads in that stuff and try to pour it out?

Does is it shoot up to the stars, go past the and straight to the next galaxy?

I knew that looked familiar! I had a hard time cleaning that up when someone had stored a 5 gallon polyethelene oxide (the flocking agent) carboy on top of a hot plate at work. The jug melted and the floc was everywhere, in the cabinets of the lab hood, on the floor, and all over the bench. It was like trying to clean up dog drool!

There's something sexual about when he makes eye contact with the camera when pouring it out

Just binge watched entire channel last week and now loads of new content is going to be put out. Love all the fun sciences, excited to see what comes.

Superfluid Helium pours itself too, you don't even need to tip it. And its viscosity is pretty much the opposite of this polymer.

Just 1 minute for such an amazing liquid? You can make another longer video on this.

I feel like you could have done a lot more with that.
