Math 1a Spring 2021: Fundamental Theorem

In this 12 minute movie, We state and prove the fundamental theorem of calculus, do a handful of examples and demonstrate how a computer does integrate. In the first part of the presentation we are honored to have three guests visiting. They were all contemporaries of Newton. They are Christiaan Huygens (also a pioneer in probability) Isaac Barrow (who is generally considered the discoverer of the fundamental theorem) and Robert Hooke (who was also a skilled experimenter).
