Math 1a 2021, Unit 2: Functions

A presentation about functions for the course Math 1a, Spring 2021.
We look at terminology, polynomials, exponential and logarithmic functions, trig functions and some inverse functions. It is important to be familiar with these functions. They are the building blocks for more complicated functions. One reason why knowing a few functions is useful is that one can then more easily make a model when analyzing some data. In class, we will also look at technology for producing graphs as well as look at some composite functions already. This was also a bit of an experiment with brighter lights. Not so good, I was blinded.
