My takeaway from the video, Jeff wants Porsche to build a minivan.

A road trip is not a race, it's all about a creature and logistic comfort. So my choice is my RAM 1500 ecodiesel with air ride and 33 gal tank which gives me 800 miles between fuel stops!

I second the minivan option. They have a longer wheel base and more suspension travel to smooth out the highway bumps. My #1 criteria is it’s reliability to complete the trip. Plus they don’t attract the attention of thief’s or knuckleheads.

I’d say a Bentley suv would be perfect

In terms of panamera’s I would think the hybrid with the executive package would be the best one. Better back seat, better gas mileage, still a quick car.

Honda Odyssey is best road trip vehicle. It just eats miles like it’s nothing. And suspension and engine is very smooth.

I recently completed a round trip, cross-country trip in my Kia Stinger GT AWD, and found it to be the best road trip vehicle I've ever owned. Super comfortable and quiet at highway speeds, a huge trunk to store all of my things, plenty of power and handling to both enjoy the fun bits but also quickly pass people you don't want to be around on the highway. The AWD was perfect on days I drove through heavy rain for several hours. It even exceeded it's highest EPA rating by several mpg. Outside of the smallish gas tank, I honestly think everyone should own one.

My road trips (3) were 3 months +/- long with one other person, best we had was in a honda ridgeline with a covered bed cap.

Preferably something comfortable to drive whether it's the long, open roads of Highway 1 (the western part of the TransCanada) or the winding two lane roads of Ontario's Highway 17. Also it should be relatively reliable because I wouldn't want it breaking down on me in the middle of nowhere. If I'm by myself or driving my own car in a group I would want a 3rd gen Toyota Supra as it's the car I like the most and it was originally designed as a grand tourer. But if I'm carrying a group then I would want something with more space and seating capacity such as a Honda Pilot.

Depends on the number of people

1-2: Corvette. C6 instead of the C7 actually.
3-4: I'd get a sedan like a Lexus LS500
5-7: Large SUV like a Yukon Denali

I drove 25, 000 miles around the USA and Canada in 2015 and came to the minivan conclusion. The of ease of moving yourself and baggage in and out makes life way easier. I also said a convertible would be the other favorite road trip car because of all the wondrous vistas.

A jeep grand Cherokee we went on a road trip from Texas to Florida and on the way back it wasn’t bad I was pretty comfortable with a lot of stuff in the car and I was able to sleep easily in there

I find my Taurus SHO to be an excellent road trip vehicle, tinting makes the car super dark, the seats are plush but hug just enough to be comforting, plenty of rear space and a huge trunk, quiet at highway speeds, good economy when cruising, and all the amenities someone could need
