The Russian government interrogated and charged him and sentenced him to leave Russia.

As a Russian I completely stand by Benjamin in this case. Talking your way out from the prison cell is the only logical thing one could do. I've seen many of his videos and I am confident that Benjamin like no other loved Russian people

Come on guys. He stayed mainly neutral throughout his series, focused on the beauty of both Ukraine and Russia and the people. We had a ball watching all of his vids! When you're being interrogated by the Russian cops you say what's good to get you out. Russia wants people to be pro Russia obviously, Britain wants people to be pro Ukraine. I think he walked the middle line as best he could and nothing he said in the interrogation should be taken as an example of where he stands ethically.

I'm glad we got to see all of his side quests, and that he made it through safely.
I sincerely hope one day someone of authority and influence over there sees what this man actually did for their country and let's him come back to continue his experiences with their people, though I wouldn't blame him if this scared him out of even wanting to return if he had the opportunity.

Benjamin is a genius, he’s been in so many tight situations and always slips through. It is a learned talent to be able to handle yourself like he did.
